  • Reduced Joint Pain, Stiffness, and Inflammation: Many of the postures incorporate moving our joints through a full range of motion which helps practiced increase joint mobility and improves overall joint health.

  • Lowered Blood Pressure: Yoga has been shown to lower blood pressure, which can be beneficial for older adults with hypertension or other cardiovascular issues.

  • Reduced Stress and Anxiety: Yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety, which are common issues that affect older adults. Practicing yoga can improve mental clarity and promote a sense of calm and relaxation.

  • Increased Strength and Endurance: Yoga can help increase muscle strength and endurance, which can help older adults maintain their independence and perform everyday tasks more easily.

  • Improved Sleep: Older adults may experience difficulty sleeping due to various factors, such as pain, anxiety, or medication side effects. Yoga can help promote better sleep by reducing stress and anxiety levels, and improving overall relaxation.
