As a beginner, private yoga instruction allows you to learn each posture in the way right that is best for you. These private sessions can be a nice way to prepare you for joining a group class or can be an alternative when a group class might not be a good fit for you. Whether you have experience with yoga or are a beginner, private yoga instruction can help you deepen your experience, address health concerns or injuries, and establish a personalized practice based on your needs and goals. When you work privately with me, you will be given a home yoga practice, either in writing or via video, designed specifically for you.
Private yoga instruction may be beneficial when:
you need help healing an injury or want to address a health concern through yoga.
you may feel intimidated by group settings and want a more private experience to practice and learn.
you may feel out of shape and want someone to guide you more slowly towards your health goals.
you may need special modifications and support due to pain or limited mobility.
you may want to learn more about a specific aspect of yoga, such as meditation or pranayama (breathing).
I am currently offering private therapeutic yoga and physical therapy sessions online via Zoom and will be transitioning to in-person appointments in the near future.
Contact me if you are local and would like to discuss in-person yoga therapy or physical therapy.
See the schedule below for more information or to schedule yoga therapy or a complimentary consultation
If you have a medical condition and your physician has prescribed physical therapy, you can receive physical therapy treatments with me. You will receive a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation and a treatment plan will be developed. As a holistic physical therapist, various modalities, including yoga, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy will be incorporated to support your treatment goals.
The holistic view acknowledges that the whole person is affected by illness, injury or trauma and that what affects the body, also affects the mind. Using treatment approaches that integrate the mind and body, such as yoga, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and acupressure, helps to address the whole person, not just the physical body.
With over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist and over 20 years practicing yoga, I offer a wide range of healing modalities and modifications as needed to support and guiding you towards your goals of optimal health and well-being.
Feel free to contact me or schedule a complimentary consultation call if you'd like to discuss how we can work together.
